There’s several different ways that we can try to measure how much it would cost Apple Apple to assemble the iPhone in the US.You know, that reshoring of manufacturing that so many insist good and loyal American companies should do. The most obvious answer is that it would simply be impossible: Foxconn, Pegatron Pegatron and others employ several hundred thousand people across China to assemble Apple’s iKit and there’s just no possible method of getting that sort of scale in the US.
